If you're working on a public site and want to get feedback from the all traffic to your website, without the hassle of having to invite users one at a time, you can set up a Public Feedback tab.
It won't have all the features of an invited user with the browser extension installed, however you will still be able to capture feedback.
Here's how to set it up
Step 1: Install BugHerd JavaScript on your site
First step is to install the javascript snippet into your page. Log into BugHerd and go to the project you wish to add the Public Feedback tab to. In the left hand column next to your project name, click the cog icon, then choose "install bugherd"
You'll then get a pop-up containing the javascript snippet you need. Copy and paste this code inside the <head>
tag on all the pages that you would like use BugHerd with.
Step 2: Enable Public Feedback on your Project
Once you've done that, you just need to go in and switch it on. Click the cog icon again, however this time, click "edit project", then tick the box marked Enable public "Send Feedback" tab.
Alternatively, you can also enable Public Feedback via the "Share Project" screen. To access this click on the "edit" link in the Kanban sidebar and go to the "Public Feedback" tab (see below).
Once you've done that, simply refresh your webpage and you're good to go!
If you wish, you can also make some slight customisation changes if you need, which you can read about by clicking here.
