  • Add a comment to a Task
  • Add an attachment to a Task
  • Create a new Project
  • Find a Task by External Id - for more information about using the "External ID" field, see our API reference for Zapier.

How to connect BugHerd to Zapier

To get started using Zapier, you will first need to connect your BugHerd account with Zapier. If you don't already have a Zapier account, you can signup for free here.

1. Go to the "Zapier Integration" page in BugHerd

Login to your BugHerd account and go to the "Settings" > "Integrations" page and click the "Get Started" button.

Please note: If you can't see the "settings" option in BugHerd (shown above) you might not have access. Only account Owners and Managers are able to access organisation settings so contact your account owner. For more information on user roles in BugHerd, take a look at this article.

2. Copy your API key

To connect Zapier you'll need your BugHerd API Key. You can find your API Key on the Zapier Integration screen in BugHerd (shown below). Copy it for use when creating your first Zap.

3. Choose one of the Popular Zaps

The quickest way to get started with Zapier is by choosing one of the "Most Popular Zaps" listed on the Zapier Integration screen. These Zaps are preconfigured to save you a bunch of time and effort creating your own.

Note: You can also create your own Zaps by clicking on the "Open zapier.com" button but for simplicity, we have focused this help article on using one of the most popular BugHerd Zaps.

4. Connect your account

When creating your first Zap you will be asked to "Connect your Account".

A window will pop-up for authenticating your account. Paste your BugHerd API Key from step 2 and click Yes, continue to authenticate your account.

If everything works correctly, then the Account will get setup. Zapier automatically assigns a name for the account but you can edit the name if you wish.
