Why isn't BugHerd loading in Safari?

Allow BugHerd to use cookies

BugHerd needs access to cookies to know who you are and which projects you have access to. In some browsers like Safari and FireFox, cookie access needs to be explicitly allowed so you can use BugHerd. When you click on the BugHerd tab on your website/app, make sure you select "Allow". If you've previously clicked "Don't Allow", don't worry, you can go back and click the BugHerd tab again to see the prompt.

On Safari and can't see the above prompt?

If you click the BugHerd tab in Safari and nothing happens, it's because Safari doesn't think you actually want to use BugHerd. Follow the below steps:

  1. Clear your browser history and data for bugherd.com. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, click Privacy, Click Manage Website Data, select "bugherd.com" then click Remove. For more information, click here.
  2. Visit https://bugherd.com and login to your account
  3. After you login, click 'Dashboard' in the menu (you can click anything, but this just shows Safari that you intend to use BugHerd)
  4. Restart Safari
  5. Go to your project URL and click the BugHerd tab... it should work now! 🎉

Once you complete the above steps, Safari will understand you'd like to use BugHerd. As long as you're a regular user of BugHerd (at least once every month) you shouldn't have to repeat those steps again.
