In this chapter we’ll cover:

✅ Choosing how to triage Client feedback

✅ Customise your Client Permissions to improve efficiency

Choose how to triage Client feedback

By default, feedback from Clients lands in the Feedback list (see below) so you can review it before deciding what makes it onto your Task board. This helps keep things tidy, especially when feedback is coming from outside your team.

That said, triaging feedback can add overhead. If you’d prefer to skip that step and have all feedback land on the Task Board automatically, you can enable the “Send new Client Feedback to Backlog” setting under project settings. It’s a good option if you trust your clients’ feedback or just want to keep everything in one place.

Customise your Client Collaboration permissions

blah blah

Let clients see each other’s feedback

By default, clients only see their own tasks. Want to avoid duplicate feedback and increase visibility across stakeholders? Head to Settings > Client Permissions and turn on "Allow Clients to see tasks created by other clients.”

Let clients update task status

Need sign-off from clients? Add a "Ready for review" column and give them permission to update task statuses. If you're using the client collaboration features, they’ll easily see what’s ready for their input.

Assign tasks back to clients

For smoother review cycles, assign tasks back to clients when you’re ready for their input. They’ll get a notification with a link directly to the page or file. If they’re happy, they can mark it as Done, no back-and-forth needed.

Clear the Task Board between rounds of feedback

Before starting a new round of feedback, tag any remaining open tasks (e.g. "Round 1") and archive them. Don't worry, archived tasks are never deleted, so you can always find and restore them if needed. Use Bulk actions to update, tag, assign, or archive tasks all at once, super quick and satisfying.

🎉 And that’s it…

Using BugHerd for internal QA or client feedback means no more spreadsheets, endless email threads, or missed feedback. With a little setup, your team can move faster, stay organised, and deliver cleaner, higher-quality websites, without the usual friction.
