This guide covers everything you could want to know about URLs in your project.
Why is the website URL important in BugHerd?
To make BugHerd appear on your website using the browser extensions, you need to tell BugHerd which URLs your site uses.
You have flexibility about what URLs you add to a BugHerd project.
- You can choose to have only one URL set at the domain level, such as "www.company.com".
- Or you can cover multiple URLs, such as a staging site on "staging.company.com". You either add the subdomain url (staging.company.com) to the same project, or set up a separate project to keep feedback on the staging site separate from other feedback.

Where to find the URLs for your project
You can add or modify URLs for your project from the Websites & Files tab of your project board.
If you've been using BugHerd for a while, you might be used to your URLs being in General Settings. We've added this message about the managing URLs in the Websites & Files screen now.
Website & Files is the home for all your websites, designs, PDFs and images making it easy to find, manage and share work with clients.
From here, you can easily add websites and other project work, and delete or edit website URLs.
