Overview

Suggest Text Edits lets you easily suggest text changes on any webpage.

This feature is especially suited for reviewing long-form content – such as articles, blog posts and course content to name a few examples.

How it works

First navigate to any webpage in your BugHerd Project's website.

With the BugHerd sidebar opened on your webpage, there are 2 ways you can use Suggest Text Edits:

Option 1 – Directly highlight any bit of text on your webpage

  1. Directly highlight any bit of text on your webpage,

  2. A tool tip will appear that says 'suggest edit'. Click it,

  3. The feedback modal will then appear where you can describe your text change,

    1. Pro-tip: Simply click 'tab' on your keyboard, and the description field will pre-populate the original highlighted text for you. You can then use this as a starting point for your suggested text change.

  4. Once you are ready to submit your text change, click 'Create task'.

Option 2 – Click the 'Suggest a Text Edit' button

  1. Click the 'Suggest a Text Edit' button in your BugHerd sidebar (i.e. the one with the text cursor icon),

  2. Then highlight any bit of text on your webpage,
