Before you begin:

When you use this method to install BugHerd, you will not receive any further updates as it's entirely managed by you. Please only use this version of the extension until such time as the BugHerd team notify you that your issue has been resolved, at which time you should install the extension from the Chrome Store.

Installing the "unpacked" extension

  1. Uninstall your BugHerd browser extension

  2. Clear all cookies (BugHerd ones)

  3. Download the most recent BugHerd Chrome Extension build from here.

  4. Unzip the download

  5. In Chrome, navigate to chrome://extensions/

  6. Ensure 'Developer mode' is enabled in the top right of the screen

  7. Click 'Load unpacked' in the top left of the screen:

  8. Select the download folder that you unzipped in step 4.

You should now have an updated Chrome extension installed.
