Use this guide to connect BugHerd to your Shopify store, so your team can leave feedback directly on your live storefront.
Pre-requisites: Before connecting, ensure you have:
An active BugHerd account
A Shopify store
How to install
Login to your Shopify admin
Search for BugHerd on the Shopify App Store, click 'Install' and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
Once installed, you should see a confirmation screen like this one. Click "Open Theme editor" to open your theme in your Shopify Admin.
You should now see BugHerd listed in your installed "App embeds" (see below). Find BugHerd in the list and toggle it on.
Note: If you don't see the screen above, open your Shopify Theme editor by going to Online Store > click Edit Theme on your active theme, then click the "App Embeds" icon in the top left corner.
Click on the BugHerd logo to expand the plugin settings and add your project key to complete the installation. For details on where to find your project key, see here.
Refresh your live storefront. If the BugHerd sidebar appears on the side of the page, the connection is working.
Using BugHerd on your storefront
Click the + icon in the BugHerd sidebar, tap any element on the page you want to give feedback on, add your description, and submit. The feedback will be captured in the kanban board of your BugHerd project, ready for your team to triage and action.
